Andrea Sutherland is currently not earning a living writing in Toronto, but she often dreams of that reality. She is also not making a dime at open mic nights around the city, sharing her most embarrassing moments and witty insights in an effort to make people laugh. Andrea is, however, loving life and enjoying the adventure!
She studied at Acadia University, where she majored in German and Theatre Studies, and was lucky enough to be able to complete one exchange program in Edinburgh, Scotland and another in Freiburg, Germany. On her first day as a Freshman… Freshwoman… Freshstudent? – on her first day at Acadia, Andrea met Beth Lyons! Hurrah! It’s been laughs and adventure ever since!
Beth Lyons is currently shacked up in Moncton, New Brunswick where she works at a skatepark, for a women’s group, and writes. She spends a lot of time identifying herself to others as “an angry feminist,” and telling stories that are far too intimate, but always entertaining.
Beth was a student of Acadia University for a half-decade and very briefly attended grad school. She escaped academia and returned to her autodidactic ways of learning through voracious reading and shameless emulation of Andrea Sutherland, who’s been her she-ro since they met on their first day at Acadia, oh so long ago.
